We’re a close knit Devon wedding photography family team that’s pours its heart into every single wedding.
We live in Taunton in Somerset and although we love the town our souls are in the Devon countryside on walks with our 5 year old son Franklin, our 1 year old daughter Everly and our dog Daphne.
I’ve been photographing weddings for nearly 10 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Hi, I’m Matt. I’m your main point of contact whenever you get in touch and I’ll be your photographer on the day of your wedding. I’ve been doing this for nearly 10 years and I can’t begin to explain how much I love it.
Away from the camera I love to be out on my road bike exploring many of the parts of Somerset I am yet to discover. I’m still finding lots of stunning places. I’m actually a Northerner so I’m still finding my feet around these parts.
Most of my exploring is with the aim of finding a great place to eat as I love food and good beer to go with it. I’ve now converted Alice to real ale but I’m not quite ready for my CAMRA membership just yet.
Other things I enjoy are music, being by the sea, whisky, building things, yoga and CrossFit. If I wasn’t a photographer I’d be running a dining pub with rooms.
I met Alice when she was working for Wedding Ideas Magazine. She’s still putting those journalistic skills to use by helping share some of our wedding stories on the blog.
She gets the fun job of looking at all the beautiful brides and putting together the images that help tell the story of their most memorable day.
Aside from weddings she loves being active whether that’s running, cycling or out with us as a family. Recently she completed her first triathlon and ran the Edinburgh half marathon…..it’s hard to keep up with her.
She’s doing an amazing job of bringing up our son and is passing on her love of sport to him by taking him swimming and it won’t be long before he’s running alongside her.
Meet Daphne…aka Daffers…..aka Dingle. Daphne is the real star of the show and is probably the reason behind most of my bookings.
In the office she likes to help out by jumping on my lap so I can’t type on the keyboard, following me to the fridge in case any snacks fall out, sitting in every doorway when I want to get through and making sure any cats don’t come in.
She’s a Wire Hair Fox Terrier and her favourite things are eating, barking, running and more eating.
When not in the office you can find her running across the Quantocks or barking at church bells outside. If you’re lucky she might say hello during our Skype chats.
It’s all about letting things flow. We’re there to observe not intrude so we’ll quietly watch the day unfold while being in the right place to record those moments that will come to mean so much in the years ahead.
To create images that will live with you forever we need the time to breathe, relax and take in the surroundings. These moments won’t happen again. If you have a strict time line or a list of ‘must-have’ shots then you might not get the compelling images you had hoped for. Don’t expect to be standing straight on look straight at the camera. We want to capture the essence of you and your partner. We won’t see that by interfering too much. If we need to direct you then it will be the lightest of touches.
