Hello again.
It’s been a really great wedding season so far for me, super busy, hence the lack of much blogging. But I have got some crackers stored up for you and I’m excited to blog them all, including this Tunnels Beaches wedding on a private beach in Ilfracombe. It’s a wonderful venue. A reception venue built into the side of the rocks that have stood there for years, overlooking your own private beach. A grand entrance through a tunnel which opens up to incredible views across the ocean. What more could you want for your wedding day.
It’s been a funny old summer weather wise. Didn’t we have that one solid week of sunshine and heat back in June and then since then it’s been a mix of sunny spells and biblical downpours? It makes planning your wardrobe a nightmare but luckily my brides are made of stern stuff and they have embraced the elements with a smile on their face.
Actually I did say to Danielle on her wedding day, as she looked out across the misty seaside town, that there would be sunshine later, and after their wedding breakfast, it poked out from behind the clouds which meant we could get down to the beach for some shots and get that great sunset at the end of the day.
How many weddings can boast three dogs amongst the guest list? Not too many I would have thought and George, Gilbert and Doug certainly added to the vibe of the day. They’re so important to Dani & Grant (yes, Grant, you know it’s true) that the day just would not have been the same without them. The look on Grant’s face as he saw his bride being led down the aisle was absolutely priceless.
Enjoy reliving their wedding day with them and if you’re planning your own Tunnels Beaches wedding then head on over to my contact page to find out about me photographing your day.
