It started with a gift……a necklace given by a 16 year boy to a 16 year old girl. Fast forward a few years and that girl would be wearing that necklace on the day that she married that boy.
That’s one of the best things about being a Devon Wedding Photographer, you get to find out about the most amazing stories and the connections brides and grooms have to each other. Sometimes it’s long connections like this one between Ella & Simon and sometimes it happens in a flash.
In this case, Ella & Simon have grown up together, not just physically but also emotionally I imagine, until that moment when Simon gave Ella other gift, this time an engagement ring. They both knew they were ready to take the next step in their life story and on this day they had their family and friends all more than willing to help them create some great memories.
Ella and her bridal party had rented a house in Dittisham, just down the road from Simon’s parents house, for them to get ready. After she put on her Caroline Castigliano dress and her Manolo’s it was time for a quick drive to the church at the top of the hill. The quaint tower keeping watch over the Dart Valley below as the clouds threatened rain and then quickly blew over to reveal sunshine..
I loved everything about this wedding. The strong sense of family, the happiness of Ella & Simon’s friends throughout the day, the beautiful surroundings, the guests drafted in to carve the meat and the love these two have for each other.
Hope you enjoy as much as I did. If you would like me to be your Devon Wedding Photographer then it’s simple to get started. You just need to fill in the form on the contact page and I’ll be in touch
