Well where do I start with Sarah and Adrian’s wedding? Let’s start with the location. It took place at Gawsworth Church in Cheshire , near Macclesfield, followed by a reception in a marquee at Gawsworth Hall right next door.
After the service, which featured the best Bishop ever and a rousing rendition of Jerusalem, guests walked along the lane to the hall to be greeted with glasses of Pimms in the rose garden. From there they played croquet or boules or just sat and soaked up the early summer sunshine.
Inside the marquee Sarah and Adrian had poured their hearts into making it incredibly personal and unique for them and their guests. The walls were decked with hundreds of photos of their friends, tables decorated with books (Sarah works in publishing) and aeroplanes (Adrian is learning to fly), while the guests found their seat at the trestle tables by finding out which herb they had been assigned to.
It was a truly beautiful day and I hope that the images below do justice to quite how wonderful it was. One of my favourite weddings ever.
