This is such an epic Lake District wedding that it is coming at you in two parts. Where to start? Well Emese is Hungarian and Lorcan, well he has been all over, France, Ireland, the Lake District to name but a few. They now live together in the Netherlands and it was from there that I had my first Skype conversation with the two of them about their wedding in …

In July it was a real pleasure to photograph Faith and Nick’s Cheshire wedding at the lovely Colshaw Hall near Knutsford. Faith & Nick had been working as teachers in Asia but wanted to come back to Cheshire for their wedding to celebrate with all their friends and family. Here are a few sneak peeks from their special day.

Oh my God! I can’t believe it has taken me so long to get around to blogging Lucy & Lee’s amazing wedding at Styal Lodge in Cheshire. Not only are they the loveliest people to work with but they’re also not too shabby to look at either. And what about Lucy’s bridesmaids, her beautiful sisters, or ‘The Jerram Sisters,’ as I like to call them, like some sort of singing sensation …

Nikki and Mike’s wedding at Inglewood Manor in Cheshire was packed full of fun and laughter and beautiful smiles. Smiles that were contagious to say the least. Mike couldn’t help but smile when he saw Nikki come down the aisle and who can blame him. She looked stunning in her dress and that striking red lipstick. Nikki must have felt pleased as punch too as she saw her handsome groom …

One of the best things about being a Somerset wedding photographer is that I get to visit all of the beautiful locations that the county has to offer. For this one I headed to the golden fields of Compton Pauncefoot for Laura and Chris’ wedding. They live in Manchester but Chris’ parents live in the village at Compton so when the chance arose to get married in the church and …

When I arrived at White Chimnies and saw Elly in her dress she looked incredible and when she told me that it was from ASOS I was stunned. It suited her perfectly and I couldn’t wait to photograph her in it. Then I saw her sister/bridesmaid in her floral dress and got excited all over again. Again this was another peach from ASOS. Elly’s bouquet was grown by her Mum …

Today I want to share this image with you and tell you the story behind it. This was taken at the wedding of Elly & Liam a couple of weeks ago in Staffordshire at their Tipi Wedding. It’s not a technically brilliant photograph, it’s a bit orange because of the colour of the canvas and it’s not going to win any awards, but it’s a very special photograph. You …

How remiss of me not to have shared Emily & Lee’s wedding with you at Packington Moor in Staffordshire. Both Emily & Lee have lost one of their parents so it was an emotional occasion but those looking on from elsewhere would have been proud of them both as looked so happy together. There were tears of course but that’s to be expected and they were tears of sadness and …

One of the best things about being the sort of photographer who will travel around the country is that I get to see some amazing places, work at beautiful venues and meet incredible people. Kim & Owen’s wedding ticked all three boxes. County Durham has breathtaking scenery, Wynyard Hall is the sort of place you could easily get lost in and Kim & Owen are loved by their friends and …

Naomi and Lewis met when they were studying together at University in Buxton. For their engagement shoot they decided to take a trip down memory lane and go back to the spring town. It rained, heavily, but that didn’t stop us having a lot of fun hiding from the showers and getting some lovely moments of the obvious connection that Naomi and Lewis have. Whatever the weather, the people always …

Emily & Lee are getting married at Packington Moor in July which if, if you don’t know, is a really beautiful venue. Go have a look for yourselves. For their engagement shoot we had a wander in the woods nearby in Staffordshire and had some fun. It’s pretty clear to see how much in love these two are. Emily said yes after being whisked off to Florence for the evening. …

I first met Jess & Rob when Jess was a bridesmaid at Aileen and Ian’s wedding which I photographed as a Norfolk wedding photographer in August 2012. When they also asked me to be their photographer I was absolutely delighted and so off I went to Norfolk again for their wedding in September. Aileen was one of Jess’ bridesmaids this time around and it was great seeing them play out …

Ah Lucy and Nick’s wedding. Well it was held at the stunningly beautiful Walcot Hall in Shropshire and what a beaut of a venue it is. They were able to get in the day before to decorate how they wanted and then the day after the wedding all their guests came back for an after-party and to cure some fuzzy heads. Lucy and Nick live in London but Nick’s connections …

Well where do I start with Sarah and Adrian’s wedding? Let’s start with the location. It took place at Gawsworth Church in Cheshire , near Macclesfield, followed by a reception in a marquee at Gawsworth Hall right next door. After the service, which featured the best Bishop ever and a rousing rendition of Jerusalem, guests walked along the lane to the hall to be greeted with glasses of Pimms in …

Alison and Tony fancied some fun in the sun for their engagement shoot. As they live in Lancaster we thought Southport beach would be perfect for them. It was a beautiful day and really warm, so warm in fact that Tony’s ice cream pretty much melted before he had time to eat it. Seeing the smiles on their faces in these pictures made me so happy when I was editing …

On a lovely day in May Anth and Tim got married across two counties. Their church ceremony was held in Surrey and then they drove across the border to West Sussex for their reception at Rumbolds Barn. While Anth and the girls were getting ready at her parents house, Tim and the boys met up at the pub down the road from the church to settle the nerves. With a …

I’m so glad Kate and Chris got in touch after seeing some pictures I’d taken of the Cotswolds whilst on a little holiday last year. They’re getting married in Lower Slaughter next year which is the most beautiful village you’ll see. We went there for this engagement photography session and also to its sister village, Upper Slaughter, which is equally as pretty. Roll on August 4th 2013
